Wikipedia on Emily The Strange
Emily the Strange (sometimes written as Emily Strange) is a fictional counterculture character, created by Rob Reger and his company Cosmic Debris Etc. Inc. Prior to receiving press coverage and becoming the object of product placement, Emily appeared on a sticker, a freebie distributed at concerts, record stores and skate shops to promote Cosmic Debris, the clothing line founded by skateboarder Rob Reger and racecar driver Matt Reed. Reger's friend Nathan Carrico designed Emily in 1991 for a skateboard company in Santa Cruz, where Cosmic Debris was born. In his Santa Cruz garage (and later an artist warehouse in San Francisco) Reger created the designs and with Matt Reed brought them into the fashion world by creating tee shirt designs that captured the essence of this mysterious young girl with 4 black cats. Since then, Cosmic Debris has grown into a multi-million dollar firm with dozens of employees. Cosmic Debris has most recently moved its operations to Berkeley, California, and plans to open an Emily retail store there soon. With the momentum of mainstream success, several comics about Emily have also been made. Key creative people over the years (designers, graphic artists, illustrators), who have worked with Reger's Cosmic Debris design house are Buzz Parker, Brian Brooks, Grace Fontaine, Liz Baca, Noel Tolentino, Fawn Gehweiler, Jessica Gruner and Adele Pedersen. Rob Reger remains the key creative force behind the brand, and Buzz Parker is the key illustrator for the comic books and Web site. Buzz Parker runs EmilyStrange.com from his offices in Arcata, California.
Emily is a 13-year-old (birthday: 9/23) of exceptionally pale complexion. She has jet black hair, and wears a black dress and black tights, set off by large white Mary Jane shoes. Emily has a dark (some say gothic) worldview. The character's appearance and demeanour could be likened to those of Wednesday Addams.
Accompanying Emily are her four black cats. Sabbath, who is distinguished by a scar on his right ear, is the troublemaker of the four and rarely seen close up. Nee-Chee, who has a black and white striped tail, is the schemer. The creative cat, Miles, has a white X on his right eye. Mystery, the leader of the group, has a white star on her right eye. Because she is the leader, she is the closest to Emily.
Emily the Strange has gained a reputation as something of a feminist comic icon[citation needed], and the franchise has a considerable merchandising catalog, including clothing, stationery, stickers, and accessories, all featuring Emily's distinctive appearance and frequently featuring one of her sayings (such as a beach-towel emblazoned with "Wish you weren't here"). Emily The Strange fashion is popular and attractive in the goth scene with young adults and teenagers.
Emily the Strange is published by both Chronicle Books and Dark Horse Comics in the USA. The Chronicle Books hardback graphic novellas include: Emily the Strange (2001) Emily's Secret Book of Strange (2003) Emily's Good Nightmares (2004) Emily's Seeing is Deceiving (2006)
In 2005, the first two issues of her comic book were released through Dark Horse Comics: "The Boring Issue" (#1) and "The Lost Issue" (#2). "The Dark Issue" (#3) was published in 2006. The collected edition of the first three comic books ("Emily the Strange: Lost, Dark, and Boring") was published in November 2006.
In July/August 2003 V magazine ran a double page spread of clothing inspired by the character, created by Chanel, Gautier, Helmut Lang, Marc Jacobs, and others. [1]
Emily has been shown in Vanilla Sky and on MADtv. Celebrities including Julia Roberts, Britney Spears, and Björk have all worn the brand. Epiphone have created an Emily Strange themed SG guitar, based on a Gibson 310 Custom. (link)
20th Century Fox Animation has announced that they will help make a live action and animated film based on Emily the Strange. Rob Reger is a producer on the film and the release date is to be announced in 2007.

wat m i to complain..???
Weather : Stormy in e mornin but sunny in the noon
Mood : okla... again... sorry...
Last nite..., we watched WWE Raw, n then slept in e same room... waitin for the repeat of WWE Smackdown... althou i din reali watch... but i din sleep well lor...
i think in future not much time to upfdate my blog le.... can onli update on weekends.... onli then got time ba.... now everyday so tired n fedup.... tied down by all the work that is pressin on me.... reali cant breathe le.... 好不容易熬过一个星期。。。下星期又是忙碌的一个星期。下星期有小六的口试。。。希望学生们能熬过这一切吧！本星期令我高兴的是，我的小四 - 两班的口试都通过了。而且，稍差的学生成绩虽然有不及格的， 但都还算理想。so.... wat m i to complain le ne?
Snow55 is flyin off to San Diego tmr.... Wish her all the best in her work trip.... n pls come back safely n happily....

After yesterday's battle w my internet wirelez network again....(FxxK...! Y so suay one! everytime gimme trouble...! Shit!)
Finali after one whole workin week.... sad n tiring... geta called up a few parents n talked to them regardin their child's IPW.... seemed concerned but dun seemed to work lei... onli a few did responded to my call n have made their child submitted their late work today... to my disappointment, many still din hand in... so too bad lor.... give them "0" marks ba... serve them right!!!

Snow55 is gg2 fly to US on fri.... sad.... but i guez it's a great chance to learn esp when u get a chance to go beyond singapore.... it's definitely a rare chance not to b missed...!

bought the new PILOT whiteboard markers... @ onli $1.60 each n some more the ink refill is a cartiridge instead o the usual manual refill... n costed onli @0.90.... so good.... i m very hapi w e new one... although i hv not started usin yet but i guez it's gonna b great lor... i m gg2 survive the rest o my life w it....

Concern of the whole world.... = GLOBAL WARMING...
oh gosh.... on mon, P shown us a video on the former Vice President of US - Al Gore doin a presentation on global warming... think that's years back le ba.... n in e video... he showed us many pictures of the different glaciers in e world,.... before n after... the sight was horrifying.... oh no... where used to be glaciers... beautiful cooling glaciers or watever ice mountains....had now reduced to nothin but normal hills n mountains.... due to e excessive letout or should i say production o CO2.... the temperature on earth is gg uo extremely high, n is still rising in a hi speed.... wat if the icebergs in the South n North Pole melt.... e sea water level will rise n Wat will Singapore b???? wat will happened to singapore then, all our homes.... families... frenz..... careers.... everythin.... oh gosh.... that's a global prob.... i knew we're gonna meet Hell in no time...
sori... long time din blog.... once i came back... started talkin abt disasterous issue, scary..... but it's somethin we mux take into serious consideration on how?.... not to solve it but how to delay the destruction of the world..... think there's no way we can stop everythin from happenin s it's all happening now oredi... that;s no turnin back but yet, we can procrastinate the process....
